  ELLEN'S BLOG
 Take me to the Unconscious

I want to share my thoughts, my musings, and some of my clients’ stories with you here so you have some insight into how inspiring this work is.

Hypnotherapy, or hypnosis as it’s also referred to, has an endless bank of amazing and transformative personal stories. In many of these stories, we resolve a specific problem that you may mistake as having a trivial impact on a person’s life.

What really happens though is that eachchange results in a domino effect on a person’s life, relationships, and happiness.

In each of these stories, my clients dared to take that first step to contact me because they knew they could expect more from their life.

Reclaiming our Personal Power

hypnotherapy for anger

All of us are born with that positive force that has us believing we can achieve what we set your mind to.

I think of is as a personal sense of power.

My client Julie had it already, then lost it and came to me wanting to get it back.

She had recently gone through a painful break-up with her long-term partner. Unfortunately, the breakup coincided with the start of a new job. At the time, she could hardly wait to start. But now, she struggled to find the energy that had made her a leader.

Julie was hoping that hypnotherapy would help relieve her broken heart. Part of her knew that she could be that amazing performer again but another part wouldn’t allow her painful feelings to be dismissed.

Hypnotherapy helped her unconscious mind resolve her issue by unlocking her options.

The solution came to her in a hypnotic trance. The trance is a natural state of mind that allows us to detach from judgment and negativity. It shuts down the noise and chatter of a troubled mind. It becomes receptive to change. When her unconscious mind became aware that its approach to healing heartbreak was interfering with her success in the new job, it found a simple way to do both. Within a few seconds, that inner realization transformed the logjam in her mind. It was like a physical weight had been lifted from her shoulders.

She realized she could give her heart all the time it needed to heal, but it didn’t need to consume her.

She would reserve a time in the evenings to allow herself to experience her loss and begin to heal. The rest of the time, she could reclaim that power within her - full of excitement and innovative ideas that she could take into her new job.

She soon woke up most mornings with energy, ideas, and her old can-do spirit recharged.

This was the power she had been searching for.

Now she spends her evenings taking care of herself and healing her heart. She’s in a better place now to think about a new relationship.
